So today was hopefully the most stressful day. We had to go meet Jacki and Al (from the charter company) and hope they liked and trusted us enough to give us the boat. Mom and Dad had to meet with them for almost three hours for a briefing about which islands we plan to go to.
Our boat is really nice. We have three cabins (bedrooms), two heads (bathrooms), and a very large galley (kitchen).
After we were able to check out and leave the marina, we left Jolly Harbour and headed to Deep Bay. Deep Bay is on the opposite side of Antigua and was therefore only an hour long sail.
We were very lucky we didn't go far because we had a problem. After we anchored and we were starting to make dinner, we realized the lights and fans weren't working in the salon/galley. Dad figured out that we had an electrical short - we had to use flashlights for the rest of the night. Our friend Eugene (from the charter company) is planning to come out tomorrow to fix it for us.
